QBittorrent: 3.3.1 Qt: 5.5.1 libtorrent: 1.0.7.0 boost: 1.59 OS version: Windows 10 Issue: When torrents have finished seeding they are showing status of 'Completed', but most are not moved from INCOMPLETE to COMPLETE folder. This happens to about 85% of the torrents.
I've not been able to determine a pattern to this. I'll start 10 torrents going and get 10 system tray notifications, but 8 of them will be in the incomplete folder. The files in the INCOMPLETE folder seem to be complete/intact; videos play, ePubs aren't missing pages.
QB Content tab shows all at 100% Progress. The 'move' failure happens on the local attached disk and NAS folder. Cyclemaster Instruction Manual more. QB is installed on C: so the 'blank file path on fastresume' issue not applicable here. All torrents except the RSS Schedule ones are from magnet links if that matters.
This problem existed before upgrading from Win 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro and with v3.3.1 and prior version. I switched from uTorrent when they started hijacking my system for mining. QB is a great torrent client, keep up the good work. In Options>Downloads I have Save files to location: set as: 'D: MyFiles My Documents Downloads BT complete' and Keep incomplete torrents in: 'D: MyFiles My Documents Downloads BT incomplete' For RSS Downloader I have completed files going to a NAS box mapped as 'V:'.
Some additional data: If I move the torrented file(s) from 'incomplete' to 'complete', on restrat of qB, the torrent appears in the 'Errored' listing. This is to be as expected. If I use 'Change Location' in the context menu the file gets moved to the new folder specified. The Execution log shows 'Today' - 'Now' - 'Torrent name' reached the maximum ratio you set.
This torrent shows as 'completed' 2 day ago. Perhaps this points to an issue with the seeding logic not firing the 'move' after seeding is complete or seeding is getting stuck at 99.999% but displaying as 100% (or something like that). Love qBittorrent, but I have a similar issue that has been going on for months on both Ubuntu and Windows. For me it only happens to a few torrents out of hundreds, but still a bit annoying when it does. Happened today again on Windows. An external drive was unplugged and when it was back in it turned out 14 torrents that were 'Completed' was not on the drive.
Used to be (older client) a rechecking wouldn't find them in temp folder, but now it finds them (as they are in temp DL folder) and move them to their completed location after recheck. I assume the same thing or something similar is happening on Ubuntu. I've had torrents that have been complete and seeding for weeks suddenly restart (usually after i forgot to mount a drive before starting) and when I look the files are indeed missing. But I haven't investigated if they are in the temp DL folder, and it's been a while since I added new torrents on that computer. Currently using: qBittorrent v3.3.10 on Windows 10 (64bit) (but this is not a new issue, it was on older version as well) Ubuntu: qBittorrent 3.1.8-2 (installed from Software Center, I know it's old but I'm fairly new to Ubuntu and worried I might lose torrent progress etc if I uninstall that one and install from repository using apt-get (?)) elementary OS 0.3.2 Freya (64bit).
