The procedure is like this: You have to copy the file on the sd card using a computer with the exact name and exact location as the navigation executable after you have saved the original navigation executable on computer for restore. Then just start the gps and instead of starting the navigation exe the unit will run the utility and will make a backup of the flach memory on sd in a.bin file that will have the size of the flash (32MB) this file is very usefull if you ever mess up your unit. The sd card needs to have space for the 32MB file.
